Women’s Hair Treatments

PRP Treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) contains high levels of platelets from your own blood. When injected into the scalp growth factors are released, which are essential for tissue healing and repair. PRP is a natural treatment using your own tissue healing products.

A small sample of your own blood is taken and separated at high speed in a centrifuge. PRP is extracted and then injected into areas of the scalp that demonstrate hair loss or hair thinning. As your skin is healing, the growth factors that have been injected induce the hair follicles to grow, induce collagen production, encourage the formation of new cells and increase blood supply. This can have a profound effect on hair growth, resulting in a thicker, fuller head of hair. Recovery time after the procedure varies between a couple of days and weeks. Every person is unique, and so responses to PRP can vary.

Hair Tonics

Hair Tonics are useful for patients with hair loss, thinning hair, or poor quality of hair. Tonics will be tailored to you and will contain medications to stimulate hair growth, maximise new hair retention and achieve hormonal balance at the follicular level.

The tonics may be used in conjunction with other hair loss treatments such as PRP and transplantation. This can have added benefit when used in combination with specific vitamin supplementation. Patients start to see results between one and three months after starting treatment, and expect maximal results after up to one year.
