Dr Nina
BM BS MedSci (Hons) MRCPEd FRCEM DipFMS
Dr Nina Maryanji has been an NHS Emergency Medicine Consultant in Liverpool since 2012 having completed her training in Glasgow, Edinburgh & Nottingham. She has vast experience in managing a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, including complications arising from aesthetic treatments.
The challenges posed by aesthetic complications led her to become very interested in the field of aesthetic medicine, how to perform it safely and to the highest of standards. She has trained in aesthetic procedures with industry leaders in their areas of expertise, and has an eye for natural looking enhancement. Dr Nina also has a keen interest in general well-being, and has trained with the Marion Gluck Academy in the use of Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy for the treatment of menopause, pre-menstrual syndrome, acne, hair loss and men’s hormonal imbalance.
Dr Nina strives to ensure aesthetic medicine is practised safely, and is a member of the North West Aesthetic Practitioners Group and the Aesthetic Complications Expert Group. She is also a Medical Advisor to the Board of the Committee of the Merseyside Medicolegal Society.
Dr Karen
Dr Karen Squires is an Emergency Medicine Consultant, with 15 years NHS experience and more than a keen interest in aesthetics. Prior to studying medicine in London, Dr Karen had a highly successful, hairdressing career in Liverpool City Centre. Dr Karen has also been a qualified Trichologist for over 20 years. She has a special interest in the cause and diagnosis of hair loss,
particularly in women. Dr Karen is the Anatomy and Physiology tutor and final examiner for the Institute of Trichologists, a post which she has held for more than 10 years.
Having developed a very unique set of skills and knowledge Dr Karen understands both the cosmetic and medical sides to well-being. She has combined her specific interests in aesthetic medicine, bio-identical hormones, nutrition, skin care and hair loss diagnosis and management, to design tailor-made programs of well-being enrichment.
With confidentiality and professionalism at the heart of all aspects of care and advice, Dr Karen can help with challenging diagnoses of hair loss to reach sound treatment options and practical, achievable results, particularly when hormone related. Dr Karen has a strong ethos of achieving excellent, realistic results to help you look and feel naturally radiant.
